A scholarship program
It’s your time to shine
Final Event: Saturday, July 31st, 7 pm at the Jasper Arts Center
In conjunction with the Miss Strassenfest Queen’s Pageant
Mission:
The mission of the Strassenfest Jr. Miss Scholarship Program is to encourage and develop the life skills of young women through community service involvement, public speaking opportunities, interview skills and personal development.
Open to Young Women who reside in the Greater Jasper Consolidated School Corporation and will be entering grades 7 and 8 as of the 2010-2011 school year.
Community Involvement Project (up to 4 hours) must take place during the months of June and/or July.
Contestants will be asked to participate in four categories:
1. scholastics
2. interview with judges
3. video presentation about their community service project
4. on-stage presentation
No fee to enter and no special talent required.
Scholarships: Winner, $500 savings bond; First Runner-up, $250 savings bond.
Second Runner-up, Miss Congeniality, Miss Photogenic also awarded.
