Jasper R/C Flyers

We are expanding the opportunity for Strassenfest attendees to visit our Airfield, see and talk to the membership about how they build airplanes, how the electronics of RC flying works, and how to pilot a RC airplane.

For the 2010 Strassenfest we are extending our invitation to the attendees of Strassenfest by having a Open House and Fun Fly event open to the public on both Saturday and Sunday August 7th and 8th from 10-4. There will be RC pilots from the Jasper RC flyers as well as invited pilots from surrounding counties showing their various planes, many hand built from scratch, and skillfully scaled. The pilots will be demonstrating their piloting skills (weather permitting) by flying their various types of airplanes in solo, pattern and chase styles. Fun for everyone and an opportunity to learn about an exciting hobby with the group of experienced airplane builders & pilots.

The Jasper RC Flyers Airfield is located on the County Recycle Center Property on County Road 350.

  • Drive south on Hwy 231, turn right (west) on W100S, follow it to the T, this is the Old Huntingburg Road.
  • Turn left (South) on Old Huntingburg Road and follow it as it turns back west and comes to a 4 way stop.
  • Turn right onto County Road 350, go approx 1/4 mile to County Recycle Center Entrance, follow gravel driveway from Recycle center to top of hill to Jasper RC Flyers Building and Airfield.
  • (Just look for the large Orange Windsock!)

Out website information is located at www.jasperrcflyers.org

We look forward to showing the public the planes and our piloting skills.
