Welcome to the 2026 Jasper Strassenfest! I am thrilled to invite you to our spirited annual celebration of German heritage and the deep-rooted pride we share in our Jasper community.
This year, the Strassenfest holds a special significance. As we embrace our local traditions, we also join a monumental national milestone: America’s 250th birthday. The founding principles of our forefathers—life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness—remain as vital today as ever. As the nation reflects on its past and envisions a unified future, Jasper stands ready to lead the way with the same community pride we have shown for generations.
Our festival is defined by its people. In honor of the America 250 initiative, we are using this year’s stage to promote community service and encourage every citizen to help shape the next chapter of our country’s story.
To lead this charge, we are honored to announce the Dubois County chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) as our 2026 Hofmarschall. The DAR is a dedicated volunteer organization committed to patriotism, historical preservation, and education. This year, they will be joined by chapters from across the state to bring history to life. Through colonial re-enactors and immersive historical experiences, they will transport us back 250 years to the events that shaped our nation.

It is a time to honor our rich past, connect with new and old friends, and find new ways to strengthen the bond of our great community.
