The Strassenfest Pageant will be held Saturday, July 31st, 2021 at Redemption Christian Church in Jasper, IN. The Miss Strassenfest contestants will interview with the pageant judges starting at 4:00pm, and the pageant will begin at 6:00pm.

The Jasper Lions Club is continuing the tradition of the box parade. It has been a part of our heritage for generations.
There is no entry fee and is for children up to 12 years of age. Sign up is a the start of the parade by the first station. No rain date is scheduled.

Bier Garten Stage
Two popular polka bands perform. The Alpen Echoes are a Strassenfest tradition & mainstay, while The Chardon Polka Band have been bringing new life and energy to polka music for several years at our fest.
Departs from Main Stage immediately following Opening Ceremonies. Join the parade to the Bier Garten for the Ceremonial Tapping of the First Keg. Buttons Required/Must be 21+ to enter Bier Garten.
The Rotary Club of Jasper presents Learn to Dance the Schuhplattler and the Chicken Dance.
The Schuhplattler dance is also known as the Slap Dance. The 6 easy steps are easy to learn and fun to do. Children will be selected to come on stage. After the Schuhplattler dance, the Chicken Dance will showcase different children o stage. Free water to all participants. FREE EVENT.
Presented by Mentors For Youth! FREE EVENT. Children hold a weighted Dad's Rootbeer mug straight in front of them without movement. Any movement the child is eliminated. Last child in each age group wins the Dad's Rootbeer prize. Limited number of spots available for each age group. Ages 5 to 13.
Das Schokospiel - A chocolate game.
Win chocolate by playing this traditional German game. Involves rolling dice & unwrapping 100's of Strassenfest nickels. Chocolate Bliss will exchange the Strassenfest Nickels for chocolate made especially for this event.

The Ländler is a Bavarian dance with German Waltz roots. Performed by members of the Jasper Deutscher Verein. FREE EVENT.

The event will take place at the Ruxer Student Center gymnasium. The contest is free. There are divisions for boys and girls, grades 2-12, and for adults, including a senior division for individuals 55 and older. Participants must bring their own basketball. Trophies will be awarded to first-place finishers in all divisions.

The Jasper Fire Department Waterball Competition is back! Always a crowd favorite, so bring the family down and cheer on your favorite area fire department as they compete in this tug-of-war style event.
Jasper FFA Kiddie Tractor Pull - Open to kids of all ages weighing 0-100 lbs. We will have four weight classes: 0-45 lbs, 46-60 lbs, 61-75 lbs, and 76-100 lbs. Registration will start at 5:45 PM at the East End of the Thyen Clark Cultural Center, close to Schaefer Barn. No cost to participants. Prizes will be awarded.

"Celebrate 2021 with a bicycling odyssey across the rolling hills of Dubois County. The 30th annual Strassenfest Bicycle Ride offers three routes to challenge riders of all experience levels. Each route treats riders to scenic rolling countryside. The shorter route is perfect for families. The longer routes include some of southern Indiana’s most challenging hills.
Riders will start from the new Jasper Parklands, 800 West 15th Street, Jasper, Indiana.
Race Day Registration and check-in is from 7:00 - 7:50 a.m. EDT.
A group start takes place at 8:00 am.
Online advanced registration is encouraged. Ride rain or shine. No refunds. The registration fee includes well-marked routes, SAG service, food and drink stops.
SAG support will cover all routes. They will have minimal tools to assist in minor bicycle repairs only. All riders should be prepared to make their own repairs. SAG support will be off the road by 1:00 p.m. Riders will be on their own after that, or if they leave the route.
Helmets are required. An adult must accompany all cyclists under the age of 16. Riders must obey all Indiana traffic laws."

Witness the dedication and unveiling of a beautiful bronze sculpture in front of the new Thyen-Clark Cultural Center. Roughly 12 feet in height, the sculpture will be a riveting addition to Jasper's downtown. This bronze sculpture depicts real life heroes and fictional characters from iconic children’s books. The figures surround a large stack of books, which represent the values and learning that we should aspire to.
