  • Live May Pole Performance

    Willkommen Stage

    Children dressed in traditional Bavarian clothing weave ribbon around a freshly cut Pine Tree. Free event.

  • Parade to the Beer Garden

    Bier Garten

    Join the Parade following Opening Ceremonies as it departs the Willkommen Stage and proceeds into the Bier Garten for the ceremonial tapping of the first keg. Must be 21 and have a button to enter. Free event.

  • Das Glockenspiel Performance

    Glockenspiel Stage

    The live action Glockenspiel performance starts with a child ringing the bell to mark the hour. Children perform on the balcony as “Strassenfest Favorite Things” plays. Free event with Thursday performances at 7, 8, & 9PM.

  • Kinderchor Performance

    Glockenspiel Stage

    Children dressed in Bavarian clothing, present a German concert directed by Mary Burke. Free event.

  • Dad’s Root Beer Mug Holding Contest

    Mentors for Youth presents Dad’s Root Beer Mug Holding Contest for Kids. Children hold a weighted Dad’s Root Beer mug straight in front of them without movement. Any movement and the child is eliminated. Last child in each age group wins the Dad’s Root Beer prize. Limited number of spots available for each age group. […]

  • Landler Dance Performance

    Bier Garten

    Enjoy a traditional dance performance. The Ländler is a Bavarian dance with German Waltz roots. Performed by members of the Jasper Deutscher Verein. Must be 21+ to enter Beer Garden. Button required.

  • Stein Holding Contest

    Bier Garten

    Each participant stands straight up and holds a stein full of water at shoulder height with arm fully extended and arm parallel with the ground. Last person standing wins! Up to 16 participants per male and female divisions. Free event in the Bier Garten (21+). Buttons required for entry.

  • Das Schokospiel – A Chocolate Game

    Glockenspiel Stage

    Win chocolate by playing this traditional German game. Involves rolling dice & unwrapping 100’s of Strassenfest nickels. Chocolate Bliss will exchange the Strassenfest nickels for chocolate made especially for this event. Free event for ages 3 to adult. Sponsored by Chocolate Bliss.

  • Log Sawing Contest

    Glockenspiel Stage

    Two person teams compete head to head to saw off an end of a tree stump using a traditional 2 man crosscut saw. Mens and Womens divisions. Must register and be 18 to participate. Sponsored by Jasper Deutscher Verein and Werner Saw Mill. Free event.

  • Polka Contest

    Bier Garten

    Come show off your dance moves! Dance your best traditional polka in front of everyone! Contestants will be eliminated as the polka plays with the last three being presented before the audience as a whole to cheer for their champion! Free event in the Bier Garten (21+). Buttons required for entry.
