Two popular polka bands perform. The Alpen Echoes are a Strassenfest tradition & mainstay, while The Chardon Polka Band have been bringing new life and energy to polka music for several years at our fest. Free event in the Bier Garten (21+). Buttons required for entry.
Introducing Strassenfest Superstar! WITZ is proud to bring you the first ever Strassenfest Superstar contest! Featuring local musicians showcasing their talents and competing for cash prizes, Strassenfest Superstar is sure to be your next favorite contest at the Strassenfest!

The live action Glockenspiel starts at the top of the hour with a child ringing the bell as other children pop out to perform "Strassenfest Favorite Things"
Four Alpine Horn musicians from the Evansville Germania Männerchor perform a mini-concert. Free event.
Participants from the audience hold picture signs from the Song as Kent Reyling leads the crowd in singing the traditional Schnitzelbank Song. The lyrics are in German and are printed on the signs. This high energy and fun performance is FREE to participate.

Each participant stands straight up and holds a stein full of water at shoulder height with arm fully extended and arm parallel with the ground. Last person standing wins! Up to 16 participants per male and female divisions. Free event in the Bier Garten (21+). Buttons required for entry.

Come show off your dance moves! Dance your best traditional polka in front of everyone! Contestants will be eliminated as the polka plays, with the last three being presented before the audience as a whole to cheer for their champion! Free event in the Bier Garten (21+). Buttons required for entry.
