    The live action Glockenspiel performance starts with a child ringing the bell to mark the hour. Children perform on the balcony as “Strassenfest Favorite Things” plays. Free event with Thursday performances at 7, 8, & 9PM.

    Two popular polka bands perform. The Alpen Echoes are a Strassenfest tradition & mainstay, while The Chardon Polka Band have been bringing new life and energy to polka music for several years at our fest. Free event in the Bier Garten (21+). Buttons required for entry.

  • Dad’s Root Beer Mug Holding Contest

    Mentors for Youth presents Dad’s Root Beer Mug Holding Contest for Kids. Children hold a weighted Dad’s Root Beer mug straight in front of them without movement.     Part of the Tänzer Präsentieren (Dancers Showcase) Dance Central Academy of the Performing Arts offers Dance, Music and Acting Classes for Ages 3 and up.   • Stein Holding Contest

    Bier Garten

    Each participant stands straight up and holds a stein full of water at shoulder height with arm fully extended and arm parallel with the ground. Last person standing wins! Up to 16 participants per male and female divisions. Free event in the Bier Garten (21+). Buttons required for entry.

  • Das Schokospiel – A Chocolate Game

    Win chocolate by playing this traditional German game. Involves rolling dice & unwrapping 100’s of Strassenfest nickels. Chocolate Bliss will exchange the Strassenfest nickels for chocolate made especially for this event. Free event for ages 3 to adult. Sponsored by Chocolate Bliss.

    Come show off your dance moves! Dance your best traditional polka in front of everyone!     Line Dancing, instructed by Country Fusion instructor, Jill Wigand of Jasper, offers fun and welcoming beginner and intermediate classes for all ages.
